Found 4 tatty old centre caps in the garage that came off the 325i I used to have
Seeing as 2 of the ones off my iS have been nicked I just took the others off, but if theres any way I can make these tatty ones look decent I'll put em back on.
I was thinking along the lines of cleaning em up, then spraying sliver and new badges. Anyone have any idea what shade of silver the BBS should be? I asked at the $tealer but they claimed they dont do a paint in that colour - think maybe they just wanted to sell me some more centre caps though?
Cheers,
Robin

i refurbed 1 of my rims recently, tin filler, 2 comp. primer, colour of choice and a lacquer. that was it really

advice, do all your wheels and caps together to gaurantee matching peices

1500 to take off imperfections, fill with metal filler all chips and pits. work surface donw smooth wet warm water, key surface, prime , paint , laq and u got 4/5 new wheels

The $tealers tried to charge me for the whole centre cap badge! (The plastic bit behind the sticker too) But i managed to point out it was JUST the stickers i needed! 8O

Wow - that's pretty hardcore, think I'll just take a guess on the silver and hope they match, if they dont - no big deal, they were just sat in the garage anyway

its alot easier when u have tools, not that big a job

a brush attatchment to an air drill, and a sandblaster would do the work of the 1500 grit, filling would be negligable, and its about a 10 hour job for 4 wheels, honest
