Following a bit of off-topic content in 'what is your E30's job?', I was just thinking that if so many of us are actually in or around Leighton Buzzard, it'd make sense to organise some sort of meet up!
So where and when?
My thoughts so far are:
Pub - although if we go for the primary purpose of having a drink, not many of us will be driving or there will be a lot of E30s staying the night at the carpark!
McDonalds or any other fast food type place with a carpark - bit chavvy but it might do the job... I'm not sure how busy these sorts of places get!
Some sort of carpark - might be a bit dodgy looking :p
Anyone know somewhere ideal for this sort of thing? I don't know the area fantastically well so I might have missed an obvious place... Ideas are very welcome! When we've got an idea of the place, we can set any old random date and make it happen!

Pub wise take your pick as we've got enough! Me and my mates usually meet at the Globe inn or the grove lock as they're both nice pubs just out of town for a quiet drink (though a cab will be needed if drinking!) but if anyone else can recommend a good pub?
As for mcdonalds it should host all of us and we can talk in the warmth with mcflurries
In the last year or so most car parks have been shut down to the 'local cruiser' with barriers at their entrance although if open the one on mentmore road used to be nicely lit for a bit in the evening.
I would say down t'pub sounds best, and if the weather happens to be warmer (unlikely) one with a nice garden wouldn't go a miss. Spakky D's would be better if you're up for the "e30's are in town
" impression lol.

Problem is if we go pub im going to want to drink and thats going to cost me in cabs quite a bit getting there and back lol. As for a dodgy car park, im not up for no dogging thanks. Would be good though to get the "E30's are in town" look as Green put it lol.

Yea, meeting up in a random carpark sounds really dodgy! Didn't think about the dogging thing - back when I was in Loughborough we were having a late night drivearound and went into a carpark to do some cheeky handbrake turns etc. only to find there were two cars parked next to each other with interior lights on... dodgy dodgy...
The globe sounds like a good place to meet up - I go past it on my way to work... I wonder if we can drive it and have the self control not to get wasted as it's probably the best sort of atmosphere for a meet. And we can get some carvery at the same time!
Must go down to the Mcdonald's and take a look... every time I pass by it looks rammed!

Would you reckon we'd get more people involved if this were in milton keynes or luton?
I'm inclined to go ahead with meeting up at the pub sometime next week in the evening. What time is good for everyone? There's no point working out a weekday meet if everyone works odd shifts!
The weekend is another alternative... that way it might be light enough to see each others cars!

Well I reckon weekend would be the best for most people, me especially lol. As for Luton, theres not really any where to go here to be fair lol. But happy to go where every one else wants to anyway.

Drinking too much then driving at the globe is a bad idea mainly as you have to drive next to an open canal
Moving it to milton keynes isn't a too bad an idea as i have a feeling anyone from that area would be too lazy to come Leighton, although leighton is basically in the middle for anyone coming from Milton keynes, luton, hemel hempstead and aylesbury if we were to make a big thing out of it
Which probs isn't likely lol.
I have a feeling sunday's would be best for most people, and if we were to do it in the daylight that would mean we'd be able to see everyone's cars (and defects

Might be a plan! I was thinking maybe late afternoon on say a week Sunday we just go for it?
Where is still the big question... I'm still inclined to say the globe...

Good news is if you're coming up from Luton, go through Dunstable then take the left onto the bypass (will be labelled Aylesbury). From there it's a nice quick wide road and the pub is just off one of the roundabouts....no need to even go into Leighton!
