I'm sure most of us watch Top Gear most Sundays - or if time alloys more frequently with the continual re-runs on Dave etc.
Hopefully (I say hopefully as you never quite know where Mr Clarkson is going to go or what he is going to say!!) for us this Sunday's show will be of particular interest as their feature piece will include a BMW theme.
Our friends at Munich Legends have been involved in the creation of this section of the show and may feature in the show. For contractual reasons they have to remain tight lipped about the content of the piece - but I believe BMW will feature in one of the trio's irreverent consumer tests including a number of challenges”¦”¦”¦”¦..
Enjoy!

I'll be watching this for sure!
If it involves falling pianos we should get some zone t-shirts printed up and get the ten scariest looking zoners down in the audience for a recording. All wearing "ridiculous Oakleys" of course

Sounds like the new owners of Munich Bellends have the same voracious appetite for self publicity as the original ones. Their new company motto should be one of my old Gran's mantras:- "Self praise is no honour."

I can just imagine the bill served to the BBC/ us for the three timing chain replacements done on the M20 donks !

But the topgear team have bought 3 of them haven't they??
Unless they are using 3 different convertibles?.....
But then again, every show where they have each had a car they have never used the same cars! They all pick something different

Nope! Three E30's.Blitz wrote:I think there is only going to one E30 cabby and two different cabs.
I was the first to post about this way back in July.

I dont know what kind of feature its going to be but most likely some kind of cheap car challenge as apparently all three examples they had were a bit ropey! (Clarkson's one apparently had concrete in the boot to "lower" it!)
Filming has already taken place.but how do you know all this is going to happen
A former coleague now works for Munich Ledgends and they were approached by the shows producers to give advice and tech support. The owner, manager and one of the technicians went up to Guildford where the TG airfield is and were there for the day. They will be going back for the audience/studio filming when the next series is shot.
Will be sad to see a cab destroyed, especially if it looks anything like mine lol. But should be funny to watch I guess, so cant complain too much lol. And I cant see why they would buy three E30 cabs and then only use one :s

I think prices will rise after this, or demand will be higher... Think of the repeats on Dave too of this episode, everyone wants an E30, when they are reminded, they'll look again...
I'm not talking like we will all be rich over night, but if there is more interest, then there is always more money involved.
And it means 3 less turds on the road... Wonder if their being/been fragged?

I can see the values dropping to be honest..kieran325 wrote:Think of the values rising
because after they show the rusty arches, water in the footwells, water in the boot, rusty battery box etc EVERY tom dick and harry who come to look at your E30 will think they are an expert and will know where to look..
cant help but say im looking forward to seeing the show now

Oh no they're clearly going to get slated. I really hope they're shocking examples they use or it'll be sad watching them wreck them.
On another note, I was watching a rerun of 5th gear the other day where they rolled a 306 cab which wasnt good news for the passengers. Be cool if they try the same experiment and take off clarkson's massive head!

You got to be having a laugh?kieran325 wrote:Think of the values rising
Three less BMW E30s on the road will not make values rise?
Even if they did by saw a few hundred pounds or more when you start taking into account inflation you will find that you have not really made any money.
e.g. your car is worth 4k today. Say next year it becomes 4250..that is a price increase of 6.25%
if it is 4500 that is 12.5%
hardly worth bothering about.....you need to have alot of BMW E30s in your hands to make any serious money from an investment point of view of a concours BMW E30 M3 Sport Evolution. Which was say £30k brand new and now if still brand new £60 - 80k.....you could have made that by investing your money wisely and dont forget £30k back in the 1980s was far more than £30k today.

However, I will be watching this sundayy purely for the e30 aspect. You can imagine the letter I'm going to write aferwards! I've got my Victor Weldrew head on for this one!!!!!

I don't give a toss if they flatten all three tbh.
To the outside world 3 E30 rotboxes from the 80's being hurt is going to be entertainment not sacrilege.
