Well my wilwoods will still fit behind 15" BBS.
I'd do a swap for a non chewed and round set of BBS with caps and decent brand tyres

Hmmm,
what would you take for an outright sale, minus the tyres??
I'm a goodyear F1 man

Well I assume you would want the spacers too (you need a spacer on the front as standard calipers catch on the spokes). The spacers cost me £100 alone.
For wheels & spacers I would want £300.
The wheels are not in A1 condition and do need a refurb if you wanted minty perfection

Don't be gay Lee, keep them and leave the ride as is, it'll look on stilts any higher! Wheels suit it nicely.. Go to 205/45 in a decent tyre brand maybe?

I'm up at Dezzy's Sunday so I'll have a look at some boots then, just need a bit more refinement when it comes to ride quality and also the gearing, it's bad enough with the 3.91 diff, but the lower profile boots make it even more of a rev muncher. It's happy in 5th at 40mph

We could try a 205,50x16 mate. Same rolling dia as 205,55x15. If there's enough room they will improve comfort

I was just looking at some 205/50/16's on the H23 at Steve's tonight and I think they could well be the kiddy.
Dez, do you think there may be time on Sunday to fit some? I'll sell the 40's to some VW bummers for their stretched tyre wrongness on 9" BBS RS

That was a comedy moment towing that E34 around the yard with the fork lift, trying to bump start it and the tow strap snapped, I was sure it was going to take out a headlight

it was the first time that 518 has ever gone sideways
fork lifts are ace,
I think we should have saved ourselves the hassle and thrown the E34 in the scrap skip !

Some new Toyos await the turd tomorrow. Hopefully we can do something with the exhaust as it is driving me mad, at least Dezzy has a lift to work on, driveway mechanics are lame.

Take your pick of ramps mate. You can't have the bottom scissor ramp though, that's mine.

Well a wee bit of fettling done today with some good & bad news.
Dezzy sorted me out with 4 205/50/16 Toyo T1-R's and they feel a better ride and help soak up the bumps better than the 40 profile rubber bands. One snag and that is under any sort of acceleration they rub on the rear arch lips, so some fettling to do there.
Exhaust sorted and mounted better, resulting in me riding over some speed humps with no catching at all, result.
Hit a snag on the way home, managed to twat the passenger rear wheel into a pot hole on a roundabout and it immediately killed the rear top mount, so 50 miles home with the rear top mount proper flapping and rattling about.
Had a productive day though getting Dezzy's lump in the bay and started, some tweaks and minor fault finding and it'll be running lovely.
Thanks to Dezzy for sorting the tyres and the exhaust fettling.

You could swap the spacers round for a trial, although they do look to be at the right offset to my eyes. Chromie arches are a shite for tyre clearance, an easy fix is to trim the top of the arch back

Some arch trimming maybe, but I think I'm gonna change the springs, time for some eibach action I reckon and some new rear dampers. I'm not 100% the Konis are doing what they are supposed to.

Got a deal sorted on some Eibach springs, so just need to get some B4 rear dampers.
Replaced the foiked left rear top mount this afternoon and also gave the rear arches some manipulation with a hammer, it's all good and the car weighs less now than when I started

Thought I would whore up some pics I put up on the runboard forum on Sunday
Got stuck in today in the lovely dry weather.
These came off, absolutely no damping left in them at all

And these went on

Rides a hell of a lot better. So threw a bucket of water over it and went out as the sun was disappearing and took a few (a lot) of shots at a couple of local haunts
