Not happening this month guys due to valentines etc
Think a few of us need to get our heads together if this is to continue due to menu and new owners and attendance being low again , If anyone wants to meet up for a beer or some munch let me know (Pub lunch maybe instead of the diner ?)

Fair enough steve it just winds me up as you well know that all people seem to do is slate it for beeing crap or being full chavy cars or whatever, doesn't really help when I'm trying to get the meet back to how it used to be does it, specially when new members of the zone see comments like that x

Lakeside used to be a cracking meet , Loads used to turn up and ram the place leaving nowhere for the chavs to park , Only drive thru
Would be good to see lakeside how it was 3 years ago
The diner meet came about as the food at maccys was so bad so it gave people a alternative , At one stage the diner and lakeside took it in turns each month
Then went back to monthly as both seemed to have there own regulars and then both died off
The only place worse than maccys is kens kebabs on the roundabout , I went over the dartford crossing cross legged with the sweats

To be honest Steve in the summer months we have had it packed out. As we opened it up to any BMW not just E30's and it is put on several different forums and southside beemers facebook page..... Admittedly over the winter it died out a little which Is why I'm doing it in conjunction with a friends german meet this month as I did the previous few months, but as of march it will be back at the normal place and hopefully bigger and better than last year and what would be even better is to have a little more support from other zoners x

People have always slagged it off, The food is shite and it's often got a few idiots doing warp speed 9 around the area. And I was going there back in 2006 when zone meets were huge.

Times change, The population of the zone gets older and people want different things from the meets. I know I have little interest in "carpark meets" these days.

8 ball diner looks like it will be a great destination for a meet and I am in contact with the owners to try to arrange a monthly E30 meet.

No need to jump on the defensive, Lakeside died before you took it over.

Whatever Dave to be fair I really can't be arsed any more..... I'll do what I do and thats it........ I forgot if your not in a certain click of people in the zone then anything you do or are involved in gets slated or slagged off!!! Had enough of it to be fair......

wow slow down girl, we have always taken the P.P. out of the place even when the meets were huge back in the day, i am hearing what you are saying and what they are saying, i will stick my neck out and say that you have made this meet as big if not bigger than it used to be in the day, so pat yourself on the back and go chill with a cup of coffee and i will see you at the end of the month,

and yes i am going to shortcake {daves} meet on the friday and coming to yours on the saturday so you can buy me a hot choc as i dont drink the coffee because its ----

Cheers Andy I appreciate that, and you have been and seen it for yourself..... As I said before it just annoys me that people who don't even turn up are quick to slate it...... I actually enjoy that meet and the great crowd of people we have turn up x x

I'll cut to the chase. First of all, what Dave said!

Who says I haven't turned up?

Which "clique" am I in? (bought an engine off Barry once, does that mean I am in his gang?)

Thirdly, am I not allowed to express an opinion on the zone? It was not derogatory, racist or sexist nor intended to belittle yourself or anyone else. It was a statement of my preference of place to attend and nothing more. You may feel that Lakeside is better than Ashford and that's your opinion which no one will mind if you express it.

Let's face it. The Lakeside meet is hardly going to miss me is it?

Didn't say it was better than Ashford meet so don't know where you got that from!! I said people in general are very quick to slate it and never said you in particular!!

I never said that you did either. I said "you MAY feel" that Lakeside is better to Ashford, which would be contrary to my opinion. Still I wouldn't complain if you did so and thought that. Similarly, while not aimed directly at me, the inference was there. Had I not said anything, you would have not gone on the defensive!
