Time for a little update and progress report me thinks....
After all the bufty action by the deviants on their air-con heater boxes i jumped on the bandwagon, no before shots i think you know what a dirty heaterbox look like.
So...
Completely stripped down box and buftied to within an inch of its life
Removed all air flaps and replaced foam, used some stuff from work and extra strong double sided tape, i wont mention i tried using 'P' profile draught excluder first thou, crap idea didnt work anyway
Re-wrapped wiring loom, what fun that was.......
Used kettle descaler on the heater matrix, looked new so not much came out
Fitted new temp foil to heater panel
New gaskets as well

Some pics of progress on the car

Black carpet, how council.......

My love it or hate it interior

Heater box in, need to tidy up the "dealer fit " stereo wiring
no room now for the main amp in front of the heater box, before the car had no air-con, so plenty of space under the centre console...

There you go, some progress made

Looking good fella, wouldn't mind nipping over before there's too much gone back on though. Need to work out what little brackets and shizzle need adding to my shell for things like the boot battery kit.

Having seen the car in the flesh, I have to say that credit goes to Matt for the work on the car and the paint job is flawless, apart from the wing incident, eh Paul

I know the interior is a bit marmite, but i love it, you wont be surprised to hear that considering by fondness for the moredoor turds.
The pictures dont do it justice really, it does look lots better in the flesh, the leather is top spec stuff, can you believe back at the end of 1988 when this car was ordered the first owner had to spec front sports seats at an extra £450.00 plus the leather cost a further £1000.00.....
The interiors staying

Ah, now that changes thing for an OEM homo. If it's as it was when it was new, it has to stay (despite being an aquired taste)e30topless wrote:it came with the car when it was ordered brand new, along with special order Missano paint,Simon13 wrote:the interior is original to this very special spec 4 door.
