i'm sure i've seen this car at a pompey meet,it had worn/torn front seats which might explain the black sport leather seats that are in it now :?

'Project Cabbie',if you can dig it out, finished it about a year back, now.

Badge was a 'one off' by the mate of a zoner, bought it several years back for the original home of the engine,it was re-painted to match the cabbie's colour scheme!

Alpina grille badges are silly expensive, but keep your eyes open for a tatty one that you can trim and re-paint! All mine is,is an shaped steel plate with a stud welded on and the numbers glued to that,be easy enough to make,if you can attach the stud.

Murphy your cab looks really cool mate, I love the ltd edition neon design colours on cabs. Looks well looked after, paint looks fresh!
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

thanks mate i do like the colours, its a shame the design edition seats had been replaced before i bought it. but dont mind the leathers.

No majour to add realy, just been getting funds together to get the 2.7 put in. almost there now :D

had to buy a new exhaust system for when its fitted so bought another scorpion system from bmw-mad. full s/s system and s/s down pipe

Most will know the trouble i had with the previous Tech II kit that i was sold, but wont spoil the thread with that. Anyway another Tech II kit in great condition has been sourced (even has all the clips :D). Thanks Mick

Will add some proper updates when work starts

Torquey! it felt so strong compared to the m40s i've been driving for the last 8-9 months. i've only driven it once since i finished the engine (to be Taxed and MOTd this Spring), a quick blast down the A27. i was grinning like a Cheshire cat when i got home :D

UPDATE: havnt added to this for a while as havnt done much realy just been collecting parts and getting a few things sorted.

after selling the alpina reps that i had to replace with some borbets i was going to buy, it turned out i would have majour issues fitting them and so had to re think wheel options, couldnt realy think of anything else i could get in my price range that i liked so just gave in and got another set of alpina reps, turned out quite well in the end as they are brand new and with tyres, tyres still had the lines round from new. and at a bargain price :)

well after the whole Tech II kit fiasco i have ended up with a full Tech II kit in mint condition and all clips too :D many thanks to Mick for saving it for me

bought some black leather rear head rests and a fitting kit which i will fit shortly when i get some spare time. and along with those i got some clear side repeaters to replace the amber ones. cheers Adi

also managed to sort out a mint BMW hardtop from Z3I in black and has a nice grey headlining instead of the usua l cream, i will be driving down to pick this up in april when i come off 7 days a week shifts.

when on the road trip to collect the hardtop i will also be stopping in to see mick_318is to pick up a 3.64 LSD :D

Sourced another full Scorpion S/S system to go with the 2.7 lump and a decent cold air intake.

the Scorpion is a dtm style tail pipe the same as my current one but i am debating wether to chop off the upswept ends and just have straight tips, any thoughts boys n girls?

after a few months of saving and getting the cash together the cabby was dropped off at Craigs today while the weather was nice so he could get started on the conversion

for those that dont know i have bought Craigieeb's M20 2.7 with 288/288 schrick camshaft, gearbox, chipped ecu

cant wait to pick it up and have some proper power and that 6 pot sound :D

my photobucket is playing up for some reason so un able to upload any pics but once its working Pics will follow

be nice to compare the front drop with the 2.7 bolted up, i know murphy's Dampers are all good as i tested them all when i lowered it.

it might need to come up to -40mm with some better dampers,i'm not sure what's in the front legs but it's standard Boge on the arse end iirc.
