Has anybody done this and where did they get the carpet? i.e. the moulded type not the carpet right type?
Any help would be great?

try fab recyclers. there's another bmw breakers too but i don't recall their name.
it's straightforward to remove the carpet just undo everything on top of it and pull it out from the rear- the re-install is more tricky and made easier if a couple of inches are trimmed from the front center.
