Around 30mpg in town and around high 30's on motorway. Good engine but no blisteringly quick.

Not much more than a 525 Petrol Touring and there's more to go wrong with the diesel.

BTW - I've had just over 700 miles from the 80 litre tank in a 525tds manual
Previously owned loads of old E30s, E34s, a few E36s, E32s, E39s and an E38.

Currently in a diesel Audi - miss me old E30's....

Sounds a bit pointless - surely the only reason to have a diesel is to get a minimum of 40mpg around town and 50mpg+ on a run ?

Looks like the conclusion is no matter what consumption it does then don't bother :teehee:
