Little tip so you dont look as foolish as me....

A while ago my speedo stopped working and I posted as request for some advice...

I was told to check one of two things.

1. The back of the speedo itself
2. The connection on the diff.

After spending ages removing the instruments and checking that end all was cool, the I got under the car and checked the connection the other end and that was fine..

By this time I'm covered in crap from the floor and have lost layers of skin.

Still no joy... My friend turned up and asked what I was doing.. I explained and advised it still didn't work so being the cocky arse that he is he checked the fuse and hey presto it was that.......

I felt like such an arse !!!!! lol....

Feel free to take the p1ss out of me - I deserve it !!!!!!

good point mate, I would have never thought of looking at a fuse, would have been pre-occupied looking at the cluster and the plug/wires going to the diff too.

I did that with my radio! I was faffing around with electrical testers and what not...and then my mate came over looked under the bonnet and said 'Tom, you have blown a fuse' doh!!!

no worries, spent two hours trying to fix a lads old tape casette player (remember those!!) as it wouldn't play, after trying everything we had to give in and take to a electronic shop. He simply unpaused it.
