Hi, I know this looks off topic but it's not. Trust me.
does anybody do any programming of these devices. I want to get a starter kit that got a couple of analog inputs and outputs.. Plan it to maybe use it for amf/maf swap. maybe other projects in the future. perhaps a sequential injection mod. programmable igniton. I want to start with something very simple as I've not got any practical experience but conceptually I can see how this stuff would work.
So, any digital electronics geeks here ?

Coool
You still got it working?
Maybe you could bring it to the next lakeside, whenever that is? I'd love to pick your brains over it.
I would use this as my final project for uni aswell as a bit of fun for making go better, so I can afford the time investment. And I want to work with motorsport/embedded computing anyway. What I'd *really* like is to build my own Linux (with real time extensions) standalone management system, fully open source of course

Have you seen the Omega AFM->MAF conversion write up on the net? Sounds like a similar project which I was tempted to have a bash at. If you've got a spare MAF then I'd have a go as it seems straight forward.
PIC was simply used to read MAF outputs and translate them to corresponding AFM outputs via a lookup table. Setup/calibration involved placing both devices in series (down a pipe) and stuffing a leaf blower at one end whilst capturing their respective responses. Now that doesn't sound too hard does it?! Temp. outputs done in a similar manner.
Search for Omega AFM MAF to find the article. I think the page is down at the moment, but the google cache version is ok.

It was for a carlton but yes. that's what gave me the idea. I posted the link to it a few months ago and just recently on another thread.TheDutch wrote:Have you seen the Omega AFM->MAF conversion write up on the net? I'd really like to have bash at this. Maybe we could develop it together. Do one each but we should be able help out with each other's problems..
I've taken a copy of the google cache too, just in case it expires. Tried to email the bloke but they just bounce.
