i have a super sprint on my is but it sounds a bit to quiet, would removing the center box make it sound better or like a boy racer nova?

I had a full scorpion system on my 325, and it sounded much better after having the center section taken out. Got rid of that hollow tin sound. then again, you've got a 4cyl and a different brand, so I don't know if it would have the same results. People ask me if I have done a V8 swap! (with a quiet exhaust, of course)

M42 and M20 sound totally different though... One is a 4 cyl, one is straight 6. one is 12v and the other is 16.

I've heard iSes with the center boxes taken out or just broken and they sound awful.

If you want noise, get a powerflow back box
M42 rightness above 6500rpm, nobody can hear you scream

i had a powerflow back box on a m50b25 e30 and it was way too loud.

i noticed when putting it on that it was smaller is overall size to a standard or scorpion back box and thats why its so loud.

get a custom box made for it as imo the powerflow jobbies are too loud and its not a nice sound either its just noise. custom box and tell them what sound and noise level you want.
