Hello mate, MY car is currently in the bodyshop having a full respray and tech 2 fitted and like yours I have the gap between the pre-facelift rear valance and the tech 2 bumper. Did you do anything with yours in the end to stop muck gettting stuck up there?

The garage have offered to make up a painted stainless steel plate welded to the metal valance and fixed to the back of the bumper. what do you reckon?

cheers

EDIT: Just wanted to add your car looks beutiful mate, If mine looks half as good when its done I'll be very happy!

Never filled the gap as it is only out in the summer but it does still annoy me - thought of using a black plastic splash guard with the bmw rivets. Would be interested to see what you can come up with.

Vents were just lightly sanded, plastic primer and a satin black spray - still looks good.

Cheers buddy, I've discussed spraying them but my painter reckons it'll come off in no time. I'm might have to twist his arm coz yours like really good.

I've also just noticed mine has a plastic grommet of some sort just below the central wiper blade, right on the edge but yours doesn't seem to have that. Did you remove it or is mine just 'special'

Paint has been good - no sign of flaking - all down to the plastic primer - sounds as though he cant be arsed - do it yourself its only a 15min arsehole can job - you dont really need to pay a painter to do it.

Not sure about the plastic cap?

Got the part diagram from Barry - part number 20 - hes trying to get the part number.

Just noticed this, cheers mate. I've found the bit on realoem but it doesn't list a part number for that bit. I've got to go to bmw tomorrow morning anyway so i shall ask them there. thanks

Those are for the drilling jig.

I don't think there is a oem part for that.
