well i got in my 318i today and started it up and it was runnin a bit shitty and there was an unpleasent noise coming from underneath and the oil light was on so i drove it to the shops anyway and when i was driving past mine it cut out and wont start again, reckon ive hit the sump on sumit and its drained the oil???

Oil light on - running shitty - unpleasant noise coming from the bottom - cut out and wont start = completely knackered engine mate. Have you looked underneath at the sump at all.

That was an expensive trip to the shops
