Well it looked like he stopped aburptly in the end. It's pretty obvious the guy was going at a heaftey pace to do that kind of destruction.

What I was trying to illustrate chaps was the very fact the back is( or indeed was) still adorned with drums, there is a very good chance that a brake upgrade all round had been overlooked.

X5 V8 for thrills, CRV for chills, Range Rover P38 V8 for sooooo much aggravation...
Looks likely he took it out full throttle in the first few days of his swap and got more then he bargained for
I bet he was hooooooing it down there and the rear end twitched, he over compensated then as the tyres got to work and grip set back in he ploughed straight forwards into the side of the road.. not before slamming his brake... anyone see what the tyre tread was like?

Almost impossible to say what happened prior to tree collision but it would have involved lots of speed.
One very lucky driver. He should be OK I would have thought as the cabin is more or less intact unless there was no seatbelt and he flew out the window

It's a shame that passage is blocked either by a tree or lamp post Lee!E30BeemerLad wrote:It's a right of passage when you get 24v power

I suspect a lot of other work has been overlooked as well... But then without knowing the full story we are probably all jumping on the bandwagon here. There could have been other cars involved etc.Jesus325iTouring wrote:What I was trying to illustrate chaps was the very fact the back is( or indeed was) still adorned with drums, there is a very good chance that a brake upgrade all round had been overlooked.
Now if he had a M30, he would have driven through the tree and out the other side without a scratch
