Stereo with Orange Illumination to match dash...

Hi guys,

About to buy a new stereo. Looking for one that has an mp3 input on the front and most of all fits in style wise with the rest of the dash i.e. black, not too flamboyant and with orange illumination. Oh and don't really want to spend much more than £100.

So far I'm pretty tempted by this;

If you're struggling, find something with white illumination & get creative! I wanted bluetooth & USB as well as the above (for my E36 though), but it did take a bit of matt black paint on some nasty chrome too...

Not interested in fiddling around too much. The stereo in the link is only £70 and fits what I'm looking for although I wouldn't say it's the most attractive stereo I've ever seen hence the post. Cheers anyway.

I just got a JVC from halfords £50 brand new with aux in. Black facia with Orange Illumination. Ill try and post a pick up tomorrow.

So far sounds very good even with the shite speakers in the car, should be better once my new speakers arrive.

i like alpines, the orange is a decent match in bmws, the display doesnt have lots of flashy silly colour lights, and it's mostly black!

the chrome knobs can look a bit gaudy, but tbh i think theyre a lot nicer in real life than they can look in the photos.

Really quite like those Alpines and have had an Alpine in my previous car which I was happy with but getting greedy for orange. Want all illumination to be orange - including text display.

i have a pioneer, dont know if it is still available but a great unit. you can tune the colour of he lights and the text to whatever you want. has a great amber and close to oem color. loadsa functions, here is the pioneer site,,,

I got a pioneer in mine nothing o.t.t but is decent enough to match the o.e.m bmw orange.

The Pioneer is nice but a bit out of budget. Kos the Blaupunkt is quite smart but think I'm going to go ahead and buy the Clarion instead.

also have one of these in my e30, its the business and looks superb with the dash lights all matching, also has bluetooth and usb-have my ipod in glove box and 60gb of music at the touch of a button on the remote control for the stereo,also has a mic for hands free calling, its superb

I have now fitted my Clarion and have to say I'm very happy with it. It matches very well and very cheap for what it is.

does anyone know what stereo came with e30s when they were new?, did different models and years depend on what stereo the car came with, i brought my e30 in november 2010 and that has sum old tape stereo, but lights are very similar to dash lights, i dont know if its original or not, thanks
