There would be a lot less left of the Saxo! That was a high speed impact..MattTheHat325 wrote:holy sheet, that can seriously happen to a solid e30? it tore apart like a saxo!

Everyone I know, goes away in the end...

Just think of the driver smoothie that would have been left if that had been head on
DAMN lucky to have sheared the front off instead...

We'll never know, he may well have been driving like a c**k, but I'd say those drum brakes were more than likely instrumental in its demise I remember emergency stops in my 320 were somewhat of a lottery but it looked ace

One of the top guys in PBMWC still uses drums and is generally in the top 3, so they obviously can work well when adjusted properly.Barx325i wrote:We'll never know, he may well have been driving like a c**k, but I'd say those drum brakes were more than likely instrumental in its demise I remember emergency stops in my 320 were somewhat of a lottery but it looked ace
depends how many sideways ..but you're right magpie.
It doesn't surprise me, it's a lighter setup & I like to think the rears on a lap won't come close to locking up!
Anyhow a track prepped 320 isn't comparable, to a shed with an m50 superglued in.. I think the emphasis is on the fact that they won't have been set up so well.. Discs for the road please
