I've just embarked on the job of sorting out my wipers and and in true Dan form, have waded in there without fully reading the article first. The result is that I've thrown away the small amount of 'clean' grease that was in there and am now left with no grease to apply to the metal disk!

Can anyone tell me what sort of grease I should ask for at my local Halfords type place? Also, when 'contact cleaner' is mentioned, what are we talking about.....white spirits, paint stripper......someone help me please!

Not 100% sure about the grease but I think its the same stuff you would put into a grease gun. The contact cleaner is Electrical Contact cleaner and comes in a spray can. If you are going to Halfords they virtually both on the same shelf along with all the petrol additives, etc.
