CR24V lads, can we clarify/summarise what the correct parts are to save any balls ups?
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

The long high pressure pipe needs a 16mm banjo on one end and a 14mm on the other. This goes from the big feed on the pump to the small on on the top of the rack. Not the bigger return on the bottom of the rack. Wait for our Dan to see this and double check it's right before ordering though. :D

the silver h/pressure one has a 16mm Banjo on one end and a 14mm on the other,

i think this is right.

the black pipe no 8 in the pic has a 14mm banjo and i'm sure it needs to be a 16mm one.

bloody figures

I am confused now as mine has 16 on both ends. Don't know if it's different for M52 pumps???

M52 pump has a 16mm outlet Dez, which is why yours will be 16 at each end. M50 PAS pump is 14mm outlet.

From what Dan has said above, Mick needs a braided hose with 14mm banjo at each end and the rubber hose needs a 16mm banjo.

So if I've got this right, my pipes have never been correct spec and I have the feed from my pump connected to the return outlet on my rack and the return pipe that goes to my reservoir is connected to the input terminal on the rack? Somehow the power steering works fine, although I do notice that my steering wheel doesn't self centre and you need to return the wheel to the straight ahead position yourself rather than letting go of the wheel and it automatically returns.

Sincere apologies Mick. :o: :o:

here is my pump.

the bottom of the pic is a 16mm hollow bolt,is this where the silver pipe goes ?and the other end goes to the underneath part of the rack which by the pic from dan should be a 14 mm if this is right then the h/pressure one is right.

the top hollow bolt is a 14 mm for which all i have is one from an m42. so i'll worry about that one later.

Image

the black hose in this pic is No 8 in Dan's pic.

this shows a 16 mm hollow bolt in the diagram, but mine has a 14mm on.

Mick, your black return pipe needs a 16mm banjo, if you want to get ghetto you can drill it out
The silver pipe needs to have 2 14mm banjo's to work on your car, or you could use the pipe you have on an M52 with the common pump

The pipes with 2 16mm banjo's will need at least one replacing before you can use them on an M52

I will be able to supply some new OEM style pipes that will look factory very soon 8)

i might have a look at that. or see how much he'll chane it to a 16mm one for.

part# 863 218 i think [pump]

my silver pipe has a 16mm on one end to go here [bottom pump bolt] and a 14mm on the other end to go to top part of steering rack.

this is right going by what i've just said yeah, that's where this silver pipe goes?

On your pump, your silver high pressure pipe from the rack fits the 14mm.
The 16mm is supply to the pump from the reservoir

Cant give a price just yet, I aim to keep it under £100. Would be able to do them cheaper if you didnt want them plated but with the tube being mild steel it wont take much before it starts to rust

I think the M20 kit should fit the M30 too, as according to the guides the standard M20 PAS pipes fit up to the M30 pump. So as long as the ends of the pipes fit the E36 rack, it should be fine. I think!

may as well go with getting them plated. If I paid you a £50 deposit, could you send me the first m20 one you get made?

Thanks
