Hi guys, just a queery regarding knock sensors. i'm just putting my loom/inlet manifold back on when i noticed a threaded hole in the block. i now know this to be where the knock sensor attaches. trouble is i never took one off, my engine is from a 1991 525i pre vanos. does anybody know if my car should have one or no? i can't think why it would have the hole but not the sensor, appart perhaps if it is the same block sold in countries with a lower grade of fuel than the uk.

cheers
