It pretty much will be a new car James. :D I have budgetted 5k over a period of time to do it all, but will most likely end up spending more, but I dont mind as its gonna be over a long while so its not like i'll be forking it all out in one go.

As for the headgasket job... Did it... But It didnt seem to fix it so out with the old and in with a new engine once I pick it up from Kedge on here. :D Hoping to get it Thurs or fri and fit it this weekend... So should be driving again on monday. :D

Been looking for rust on her today, kind of hoping there was something terminal so I could just frag it, but its not bad at all, so she will remain a touring for now. :D

- Have any rust repaired (to pass MOT)
- Sort out other minor MOT bits
- Put in a new carpet (once someone replies to my request and sorts me out with one!)
- Put various pieces of interior trim back on properly
- 2 new BBS centre caps
- Do a service and get that cambelt fitted
- Get some fresh paint put on a couple of panels

...Sell in a few months once I've worked out an asking price and decide on a replacement in the mean time!

Sounds like your going to end up with a very nice chromie. Sorry to hear the gasket job didn't go to plan. But sounds like you have it in hand! :D

Stuff to do Now

Replace NSF Suspension Strut
Replace handbrake shoes
Pass MOT Next week with no advisories.

Then

Replace dampers all round
Fit M3 "lollipop" bushes
Get tracking done
Find and fix the reason why the car is hard to start when warm
Get injectors cleaned
Replace front fogs with working ones

Then long term :

Re-shell all the good bits into a rust free shell - preferably a Dolphin Grey 2 Door

That should keep me busy for a while :D

I've got to:

Replace all fuel and breather hoses.

Replace all flexible brake lines and fit some better front calipers that I found recently.

Redo all my exhaust / manifold gasket joints

I would like to:

Finish rebuilding my spare head

Find some good replacement seat upholstery

Replace my front and rear screen chrome strips

I'm dreaming about:

Finding and fitting a Tech 1 kit and respraying the whole car

To be honest if it wasn't for the petrol and brake lines my car is more or less where I wanted it to be, a useable clean and tidy classic which I'm not paranoid about.
These are sensations as hard to forget as they are to ignore.....
