Has anyone used one in a m52'd e30?
Not all that much more money than a m50 inlet conversion from ca automotive. Wondering if theres any point spending on a m50 if the schrick is better.

You don't need the silly expensive kits to fit the M50 inlet manifold to M52.
All you need is the manifold and preferably the M50 throttle body.

Lees right on this mate,
for the crazy price of a schrick manifold
http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html/de ... 16.017.00C
you could buy about 10 M50 inlet manifolds, and they basically do the same job
also, the M50 one will be lighter

M50 inlet manifold
M50 throttle body
M50 Idle control valve and connecting pipes
M50 inlet bellows
All plug & play, you can get rid of the cyclone valve/ oil separator valve from the M52 setup.
Defo no need to get raped £400 for the "Alpine527i" kit or whatever the E36 boys seem happy to get reemed for.

As said the M50 inlet isnt as much graft as its made out to be.
But, that schrick inlet will be much better, its a copy of the Alpina manifold

It's interesting how thin the plenum chamber is on the Alpina manifold, must help keep the gas speed up I'm guessing?

Usually keeping the plenum size down is about throttle response.
EDIT: Also as per the link you're probably getting gains at the high end (although I realize the comparison in the link is with an M52 not an M50 manifold). Personally I don't drive around above 5000rpm but I guess some do.
As I've said on a previous thread there's an M50 inlet manifold complete with TB in my local scrappy. (South Oxfrodshire). It's missing TPS, Inlet boot, ICV connector & ICV.
