Police are strange creatures!
I've only been pulled once in the BM for 'driving too close to the middle of the road' followed by 'can you step out of the vehicle please sir, we need to breathilize you'
My car is fairly modded and my exhaust is loud
yet the pigs don't seem to bother me, although my mates in their Max Power wannabe cars get pulled on a weekly basis.

Essex coppers love em, i seemed to get them on my case every time i was out. Out in the Audi they don't even look at me which is great!
You've still not said where in Essex you are...

I got pulled over 2 weeks ago in an Alpina C2. They just felt like pulling me over and tried to do me for not having a license....!!??? Even though I had a license!
Had to waste my time to go to station with a stupid producer.

ive never been pulled by the police ever, and ive ben driving e30s since i was 17
in my red iS which was bloody loud i used to out it in 5th and roll past the police. My sport attracts a lot less attention cos its grey, apart from bmw owners who seem to know what it is, and just always want a race. I does tend to get a lot of attention by petrol station attendants 'nice BM mate', 'is that an m3?' LOL

Only ever been stopped twice in both of mine, once was because there was a group of us round a flatbed trying to get it started late at night - it was my mates flatbed, and they wondered what the fuss was about. Then they saw my plates, and asked me to remove them.........
And another time they thought i was someone else, after a BM like mine had been seen flying up the 127 towards Basildon.....again

I've only been pulled over once in the last 10yrs. I guess it's becuase I'm all grown up an responsible. How little they know LOL.
I sure with will change when I've fitted the CF airbox again as it is too tempting to stick you foot down and hear it roar. God I love that noise!!!

Been tugged in the white E30 M3. Routine checks sir, just looking for oil leaks. What do you think this is, a bloody Alfa. On your way sir.
Wait till they see my track car on the road, CF air box 8500rpm sounds awesome. Induction noise is around 104db, the exhaust is only 101.4db.
Martin, your sport evo looks wicked.
cheers
Dave

1 x brakelight out
1 x rear foglights on - wiring was a mess so they were stuck on for a night before being sorted
1 x driving on hard shoulder
- during a traffic jam, water pump was playing up so car was overheating, nearly out of petrol ("I thought it would safer to run out on the hard shoulder than on a motorway officer", which is a fair point), could see sign for the exit to the services so wanted to get as far as possible before running out of fuel - explained all this to copper who was very understanding
1 x "spot check" (they followed me around town for a mile before pulling me over)
2 x front foglights on
I know all of those are my fault apart from the "random spot check", but still, it's a lot in 3 months.
Guess I'll have to stop committing such awful offences as putting some extra lights on so I can see properly...
