1999year M52TUB28 from E46 swap to E30

Anyone swapped 2.8 from E46 to E30 (pre facelifted)? It's diferent wiring as for engine from E36. So it would be very helpful if someone have wiring scheme for this swap 8O

Do you mean M54 engine? The M52 is better

2.8 E46 engine is an M52TU. It's not really a goer due to wiring/ECU issues and the E36 units is much, much easier.

Am I right in thinking the M54 doesn't have a throttle cable?
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Early ones do but they did change to elec throttle

I will post later wiring for M52TUB28 :D I will get this engine working in mine e30

so main problem that wiring is much harder than m52b28 from e36? or e36 engine also have better performance?

one guy suggested to use m50 intake and m52 single vanos wiring, is it possible?

Not possible.
The ECU requires signals that are not present on an E30

Engine mounts from E46 will fit to E30 same as from E36?

Lol, I'm selling m52tu, this engine don't worth time. As you all said it's not easy wiring as m52 from E36 and worst part is that no mods for TU are..

Any ideas what to swap? m60? m50 turbo?
