I've spotted one of these rare beasts for sale. It's obviously left hand drive but apart from that, it meets all of my criteria for a daily/fun car to bum around in. (200BHP+ manual box. reasonably economical, 4 wheel drive, 'estate' german, decent towing capacity)

Can anyone provide any details to scare me away from it? :)

This is the car in question:

I'm only really playing with ideas at the moment but it looks like a worthy chariot to accompany the E30 :)

No idea what that is, i've not really looked at E46's before. :)

I like the idea of a diseasel

Oh and i've worked out what the 'government' link is too...

That explains the unique colour and the mileage! :)

I'd rather a 330d then any other E46 much more torque than the 330i and tax is cheaper and MPG!

Very nice. But probably thrashed by the police. But I do know the Police maintain there highway cars very well.

It's probably seen some 'history' but if it stays cheap, it could be a giggle.

I'd love to sticker it up again also

I rellay like that, I'm on the look out for a e46 touring too, Not going to bid against you though as the mrs won't drive a left hooker. (she will dish em out though :) )

I was going to say before I saw the copper pic, it looks like it has holes in the roof and loads of wiring/screen shite inside :D

The view of the roof does seems strangely 'low res' doesn't it :)

It's definitely not a car to pay good money for, but if it stays cheap it might be worth a punt.

Next time i drive to italy could be loads more fun
