I think in terms of prep it is just a case of having no oil leaks and the cooling system being effective and no bits of trim hanging off. Then just sit back and either be amazed or truly gutted.
Let us know how you get on mate

Tyre pressures should be correct.
Make sure that viscous is working.
Make sure the air filter (if cone type) has a good outside air feed.
Generally well serviced.
Take a camera and make sure the car is clean.
Take some tissues just incase it puts down 130 bhp.

what about sticking new plug's in and giving her an oil change?
and yeah im hoping i'll be quite happy with the result, idealy im looking for 270-280 bhp, figers crossed,
and i'll post up the result sheet for all to see
ahhh tyre presure, what's the ideal rate?215/40/17

would it be beneficial to have rock hard tyre pressures, i.e. 40psi upwards in order to reduce drag,or would this compromise on getting the power down and have it spinning up on the rollers like some turbo nutter jap thing?

215/40/17 tyre pressures should be run at the same as your standard 15" wheels.

Also go for the highest RON fuel you can - normally 98 from a petrol station, though I've heard of people using high rated fuel - don't know where they got it from, nicked it from the local airport no doubt!

Also, (sorry forgot to say - forgetting a lot today...
), make sure your AFM is working OK. I took mine along to get the PBV setup properly, knowing she was running lean and thinking I'd get everything sorted together, only to find out she was running lean 'cause the AFM is buggered and we couldn't adjust the CO. Damn, all that work and only +3 bhp more than standard!!!!

I'd of thought it would be better to keep the old oil in for the run, as long as its not been in for like 6-7K.
