Hey guys,
Just been out and had a check over my car for MOT time and my rear silencer has developed a hole, the rest of the exhaust is fine. Any ideas for a good place to look for a replacement? any recommended companys?
As in the back box has a hole.

I think that the website leisureshack sells reasonably cheap bosal exhausts. Alternatively, you could try a jetex rear silencer.

I tried to buy a supersprint system, but was told that they are NLA.
I think you may be able to get a new rear silencer from BMW. Won't be cheap though...

I have the Jetex setup.Bakedbean100 wrote:Hey guys,

It's a mild-steel half-system, so it includes the center silencer as well IIRC for the price you quoted. You might want to paint it if you go that route. No problem with the metalwork but their paint was questionable. Standard tip (actual tip, not just a finisher tack-welded or bolted on) is a big round item - clearly not factory, but not "council" either.
It's just the standard diameter and basically sounds pretty much like the BMW system, i.e. pretty deep and a bit loud compared to most modern cars, but not boy racer in any way.
Basically it's perfectly sound (no pun intended), just give it some high temp paint (or whatever you prefer) before you fit it.
