I've seen Steve over the last few weeks and I'd thought I'd take the M3 over for a run out and an inspection on the ramp :D

Here it is rolled out of hibernation over winter -

After a trip on the M62 and with the snow starting to fall, it now looks like this -

And a few others winkeye

Whilst I was there the snow came down thick, I thought I was going to be stranded in Huddersfield 8O Sod it, we went for dinner and gave it time to thaw.

I made it home in the end, the car looks a disgrace but it's safe.

After the inspection of the underneath, it's safe to say it's good and something I'm rather happy about :P

A few bits were ordered from BMW ie new grilles etc, more on that to follow winkeye

Cheers Steve and thanks for the day 8)

I know which is the quickest car in that lot.

Good to know your car wasn't hiding any nasty surprises and you seem to want to keep it, for now at least.

Steve with the size of that unit and all them E30s you must have a full time job sweeping them up ! :)

PS ; Haven't you got a sheet you can throw over Falksters turd ? Them "rimz" are lowering the tone :)

PPS ; An E30 M3 without any nasty "suprises" is a rare thing indeed :(

I was in two minds whether or not to keep hold of it, I was anchoring after the E92 M3 and still am :? I seen my M3 before Christmas and I thought it looked amazing, so for the time being it's staying.

Yes, that's Matts and Falksters :P

Yours is quick in 2nd in that snow

Looking good and the engine looks even better winkeye

Yeah it's solid, after seeing them E30's in the unit, I had a cause for concern, it came out better than expected 8)

I tell you what, if I was a single bloke, I would buy an industrial unit and have some living quarters upstairs (nicely done) and then the works going on downstairs. 8)

Not at all mate, just as long as you don't give out the location postcode, alarm code, camera locations, key Location and guard dog names and favourite flavour meat. :D

I still need to give you a run out in it, I reckon that conversion is right up your street having plenty of torque at relatively low revs.

Glad you got home safe in this shitty snow Kieran, your camera takes ace pics !

I am even happier that the Autopsy showed no rot on your 4 pot shitter, that's 1 turd less to sweep up after !!
all E30 /M3 owners should have all the plastics off and have a good poke around, best to catch any rot before it gets hold, can't be too careful with a 20+ year old car :(

Hows your leg healing up after the 2 Rotweillers got hold of you ?

That could be a while then :D

it does get hard to turn the engine off when indoors, if it had a full tank you could just leave it running and use it as a source of heat as well

Safe to say about what £40,000 worth of M3's in there. Is one of the m3's a RHD one? I am sure there is a RHD one among that lot ( Beardys I think )

How dare you, mine is only molested (improved) as far as the S50. I did worry about it being LHD but after a couple of hours at the wheel i wouldnt have it any other way.

There is a birds converted one in there and its dreadfull what they did to them tbh.

No offence taken btw felix.

I can vouch for how cold it gets in there! After my last visit I ended up with tonsillitis. Mind you I was licking and sucking all the rusty turds! :D

I thought those fuel pipe clamps were NLA - different for M3 I guess.

New grilles are the single best investment for any E30!

Always amazes me how many pricey Angel Eye kits I see set into manky grilles...

No the fuel pipe covers are still available - I bought one last year for the cabbie - the old one was more of an optical illusion.
