tech2 is a daily/toy & the tech 1 is a long term resto.

had mine from new, 19 years now , 68,000 mls with very few problems. No way we would be parted now. As the years go by it stands out more and more from all the euroboxes! It may not be as quick, economical or as safe as the modern stuff but it still looks the part

96-2000, 2009-2011: not that great I know but I'll never sell my iS and will have until I die, then I'll be buried in it in some kind of Viking ceremony.
Two headblenders, couple of bags of MC Hammer, 5 litres of FFF, a 48ft bastard, a box of jumped-up custard and some soggy chimps

Thanks for comments guys, I've managed to keep it original with the odd scuff and car park ding repair, Waxoyled cavities and sprayed underpinnings. Glad I kept it up together now, but now avoid Supermarket car parks etc

4 Years, 4 months, it helps to think of this when justifying the expenditure, I've never had a car so long!
I said:
Can anyone suggest how to test if the boot lights are staying on with the boot shut?

Current one in my sig i've had for 2 years 10 months, of which its been off the road for 2yrs 5 months!
Its survived me working in Oz. I sold most things except the e30 to fund the trip

I've owned my M3 for 5 1/2 years, now (bought it June 2005). I had my 325i 4dr for about 10 months prior to that, but that car was sold Nov 2008.
Immediately before the 325i I had an E34 530i (M30) saloon and immediately after it I had an E34 525ix Touring.

My first E30 was bought in October 2002 and i've owned my current one since july 2006.
I've had 13 of them and i'm sure i'll own another.
