hi guys
i've just picked up a non vanos 2.5 m50, sadly it doesn't have an inlet manifold, ecu or wiring loom.
my question is will any vanos parts fit,i have a spare wiring loom( siemans ecu type) i know the ecu will not, atleast not without throwing a code, but will any of the others.
cheers guys.

Mani is the same.
What do you mean fit in the bay? It has been done many times on here. You will have to swap out your brake servo though but that has been detailed in this section.

Interesting swap chris
, I quite like the old 190. Was considering a cosworth but with an m50 put in it would be as quick if not quicker
.
I take it you didn't have this planned when you sold me the m50 did you?

no i knew i'd regret selling it lol. hows the build going? its a case of i know m50 well there tough reliable and quite good MPG, i got the best part of over 30mpg from the 525 and 40mpg out of my 328( longer diff ). the merc engines don't seem to be as good and cost more.
heres a few pics for any one whos interested

Aw that's always the way things go ay, Yeah the build is finished mate, just the exhaust to be made up now
.
Its a cracking engine, only driven it around the block (loud as feck with just mani's and downpipes) lol, but goes real well in the car!!
The merc looks good, be wicked with a proper engine in
Get it done man
