Only the Touring but I'm after a 306 1.4/1.6 to mod as a daily driver and a mk1 Scirocco. A Storm would be nice but they're getting pricey, might just get a shed and drop a mk2 Golf Gti lump in.

I've only got the e30 at the mo (can't really count the '39 MG in the garage as it's been in bits for years!)...
Could really do with a POS diesel to drive to work (doubt I'll ever bring myself to do it though), I'd LOVE another capri (back to the pinto though), & I also want something with the 1275 lump (mini or probably a midget), to strap my supercharger to...
Wish I'd never sold this one:

Especially as this one turned out to be so much trouble!:

Well spotted
Had to get em machined a bit to fit (studs rather than bolts!), but I think they looked good... bit different too.
Was such a fun car... if only it didn't kill 4 gearboxes (POS type-9!) in the time I had it!
It was when the second engine started to die that I gave up...
The black one was so much better but only a 2.0
Next time I'll get another clean 2.0, chuck a 38 on it, 4-branch, x-frame, etc & be happy that they're pretty much unburstable! I think that car went to Ireland....

Just this Italian Stallion, well the engine is anyway, soon to go on ebay as spares or repairs

bRaDz,
how about this for a straight, black S?

The lamp post came off worse. He followed this up with a Mark11 S that I set on fire whilst welding..... oooops.
Ziggy, type nines are crap, type 3 four speeds all the way....
That's why I have a spare in the garden!

That capri closely resembles a mate's 2.8i Special which found it's way into a wall after a wee moment of oversteer. Right outside a pub full of punters in Billingham

RSTurbo - your avatar needs resizing mate, it's HOOOOGE!! LOL
Seeing as u guys r all Capris mad... thought I would ask, do any of u guys know about the Capris Peranah ? well it they were built buy a guy called Basil Green, he built them so he could race them. They had a Gt40 V8 in them... damn monsters, but very nice cars... another thing I've noticed with those pics, our Caprishad square headlight, and I see ur guys ones have 4 round ones
2.7 325i sport track car plus:
an ebay special merc 300te estate for transporting dog and other stuff - and as it is auto driven by the bird
caterham 7 with 2 litre cosworth bdg on injection - having engine rebuilt
but i mainly smoke around in a mk2 1.1 or 1.3 golf i was given in exchange for a small piece of work. a real shed - seats torn roof looks like it has paint stripper thrown on it - and redefines leisurely performance. however it sips juice - don't bother locking it - and often turn up to client meetings in it - it's the ultimate in inverted snobbery

I still have my old CRX sat in the garage

bodywork a bit beaten, but runs fine, could do with new suspension, keep meaning to turn it into a track slag when I have the time/cash

Gavin... how you gonna do the exhausts for the V8...? Got a bare shell'd BGT sitting with a Gold seal re-con in it, but a fully rebuilt P5 engine with 45k on it and a 5 speed box... but scared to chop the bodywork (inner arches) to make room for the exhausts...!
Any advice would be appreciated...
Giles.

Giles, do you ever get PPC magazine?
A worthy read as quite often loads of useful tips, same goes for Retro Cars although PPC is the better of the 2 mags IMO

Giles the way round it is to have tubular manifolds that fit nice and snug to the engine, so it saves you cutting the inner wings. But they still suggest putting vents on the inner wings to allow the heat to escape.
I've just priced up a set of mild steel tubular manifolds & join pipes at Ԛ£230.
Loads of info here,

Current brief, as touring is off the road
(til the end of oct
) is one of these...

Skoda Felicia-bloody nippy for a 1.3 fwd shed-"entertaining" is probably the best way to describe the handling
Handles much better with either 6 bottletops and tyres in the boot or a drumkit in the back. Great car-cost peanuts (Ԛ£800 with FSH and 32k on clock) have had it for 18 months and have done 19k in it.no troubles
I've had 2 of these...

Seat toledo-one was a 1992 J plate 1.8 90bhp beast.Was my first car and a bit quick for an 18yr old
my dad used to say that the speedo didnt start working til 85mph
had the single point version of the mk2 golf gti engine in it-pulled like a train from 2750
the other one was a TDI on an R plate-went on fire, new exhaust (Ԛ£225
) and got crashed on 16th nov last year.fukking shed
mind you 47mpg at an indicated 115mph
Both had f00king huge boots! (the J palte one had a complete pallet of briccks (circa 1 ton) loaded with the back seats up!!!)
at the same time as having the diesel toledo, I decided that another car was needed, summat a bit more refined, so, enter stage left

a jag xj40 4.0 sovereign. Full leather, electric seats, cruise control, sports box-burr walnut and the coolest ashtrays in existance.
It had a corsa battery and chrome arches
cost Ԛ£450 and rear tyres were Ԛ£90 a side
around town 11mpg was the norm and a run at 65mph got you 26 with the cruise control on.
However, press that sports button and boy did she lift her skirt and run
Glasgow to Carlisle (102 miles) in 47 mins
cruise control at 150 was fun!
