HI,

Just bought a dolphin grey 325i touring and thought id have a quick look around on the net to see if there were any forums - and what a gem i have stumbled accross! Been reading alot of the articles - great site thanks

Bought the car from exeter, 120k sounds and runs well, small amout of laqeur peeling off rer door but otherwise good paintwork. Have left it with previous keeper untill they have put it through an MOT. Don't anticipate any problems so should have the car on tuesday cannot wait! The 325i touring has allways been my dream car since I was young.

I like the look of the alpina alloys, so that may well be my first "upgrade" then perhaps the mtec 2 kit -

Welcome to the Zone.. You're quite right it is the best E30 area on the web... Car sounds sweet. post some pics when you get it back of the previous owner.

johnono - must say that is one lovely tourer you have there... Im tourer biased allready!

There are some amazing cars in this place

When I get a new car I allways service it as soon as I get it, Just wondering what the best type of oil to use is?

any suggestions?

Also I noticed the injectors are quite loud on mine, does cleaning them quieten them down?

as your car has done mileage mate ( I am guessing it has) you don't want to use stuff that is too thin. Best to use a semi-synthetic 10W40 in my opinion. Couldn't recommend a particular brand as I think that is just personal preference really.

But if you are a real pikey, you could use chip fat oil like Granville 20/20

Ticking injectors is an age old nuisence for these cars. Not sure if an ultrasonic clean makes any difference. Prob have to splurge out for some reconditioned ones, but they will tick in time.

Do the injectors sound louder when the engine is cold ?

Where are you based as theres a BMW car show on at Donington park on the 23rd of this month if you want to meet a some of the chaps off here ?
