Brought this e30 not so long ago now, Images before I update the suspension, exhaust including manifold, wheels and generally before I do my Merlin magic to transform her. :D

In case somebody says the mileage is not genuine 116k!!!
p.s I double checked all the MOT's the car has never been owned by an owner far from London or the south of UK! the furthest it has been away from London is Hampshire, Portsmouth.

It is genuine!!! and believe me it is not my pride and joy! far from it! I used to love them when i was younger! but there not fast! neither is an e30 M3! there just pure sensational drivers car's especially the M3. I just brought her as I love them still and thought she deserves an owner who will cherish her and let the last owners vision live on as he never got to complete fulfil it.

Hi Murphy

I am looking to get a good quality 6 branch manifold, also a good quality s/s full system, have found a original BMW hardtop from an add I placed in the wanted section :) so will purchase that and have it painted the same as the car. I am also looking to lower her 40mm so most likely will put new shocks and springs.

Then I will see the stance of the car once all that is done! Do not want to ruin its originality so I wont go for the boy-racer look of slamming her 60mm or 80mm, will most likely keep her on her original wheels or If I do put upgraded wheels on her probably the BORBET B's. But thats all.

what do you think?

plans sound goood mate, and i think the borbet b's would look the part on it :D

will you be keeping it calypso red then when you have the respray? in my opinion the car looks great as it is and with a fresh respray and the borbet b's would look the business.

is this the one that was on pistonheads? went very quickly if it was

Yes I will be keeping it in this colour, I brought her as she is one of the last ones, had full service history, every single MOT, all the book pack service book, car was supplied from BMW Park Lane and the body panels and condition of the car including the interior as well as the roof was just mint hence I got it.

It is the one which was on Piston Heads :) As soon as i found out about it from the guy who was advertising it, I shot down to see it and left him a good amount of deposit, went back to collect it after 2 and half weeks x-mas eve.

By frost protector DaveD is talking about the Vinyl cover
that straps across your rear plastic window.

Nice cab btw, and have to agree with Ratch .

Very nice!

In terms of exhausts I have a scorpion system with the Le Mans tailpipes (on my car) looks good and sounds good, you can't really go wrong with scorpion systems.

Rather than Borbets, if you are able to find some Nogaro BBS' they would look sweet.

Just my thoughts.

I recognise this cab ,
it used to belong to a chap in Bradford about 3/4 years ago, he tried to sell it on here without any luck, his username was Mamood or something ?

he bought lots of spares from me, including the lights and black grille, and low mileage clocks, it had about 160k on it back then ? it used to have rh toplines on it,
before you spend money on wheels have it thoroughly checked out mechanically, :D

You :wan: stop writing crap about my car! the car was brought from BMW Park Lane originally I have full service history stamped up to 86k or 89k from dealerships then a few stamps from specialists up to the current mileage. The car has also got every bloody MOT from all the old style MOT's to the latest ones EVERY SINGLE ONE! and the mileage matches on point with the service and age of the vehicle.

brought from a trusted source! not tramp people or council estate! see the 1st 4 pic's there the pictures which were placed on classified add. The whole woodlands the chap owned 6 archers of it, had over 12 Porsche's there 993 turbo's GT2's and all sorts including a Murci Roadster why would he bother to try to make a quick buck! some people I tell you!

oh yeh the guy who owned this car died in a car crash no survivors killed him self in a 996 turbo, described by west London guys from other forum's I joined as a very nice chap who loved his E30's, had a collection of M3's and convertible 325i's as well as other cars lived in ASCOT!!!

His family asked his friend to sell his cars as they did not know what they were worth and he was not trying to make no money on me lol! I got it at a very good price either way and made a very good friend.

Congrats mate, that's one beautiful cab u got there, Calypso Red one of the best colours for an e30 cab,

what you're planning for the car sounds good, car coded hardtop borbet b's, you have good taste lol!,

but word of advice mate, be careful when choosing what size tyre you're have put on the borbet b's, borbet b's particularly if they're 9x16 usually have stretched tyres which are illegal, as there is possibility that as they can tear apart and cause a blow out! i was gna get the same for my cab, but after i found tht out i left it, i think you can get tyres that don't have to be stretched but they're expensive 100 quid each i think.

Yes Omar from Ascot :D He is a nice guy! I also have some phat motor's but not like on Omar's scale lol He is a big fish :p

hmmm danm I guess the ride is important in every sense! I think it wouldn't be wise to do the stretch look after all, will think long and deep about the wheels to put on her; will be something cool and refreshing either way not cheap and tacky that's fo show; thanx for the feed back and for sharing some wisdom!

DAVE, your motor is lovely how many of them do you have? own any Porsche's ?

GOONER, Thanx for the advice mate but I wont be putting the chrome grill back on as the frames for the doors are black as well, no chrome on this car at all so will keep her that way.

RATCH & SUCHY thanx for the feedback guys :) appreciate it.

Aaron, Man those pic's are just WOW!!! Im loving that ALPINA Calypso thing! OMG I would love to copy the whole stance but I just dont think here in UK I could run my car so low and slammed! too dangerous for the sump!!!

Justin, PM posted also deffo will check the wheels out you recommended. Thanx

I had stretched tyres on my old cab with a 60mm drop, not a good move. I was on first name terms with the guy at my local tyre depot in the end! 8 replacement rears in 2 yrs! Had one blow out as I slowed from 150 to 40 for a camera, never again!

I had mine wearing badly on the insides of the rears with wider tyres and a 35mm drop and on this country's roads with the speed bumps buy a spare sump :D

I love Calypso Cabs., I would never lower an E30 below 30mm, I did once do a 60mm drop, 2 set of rear wheel bearings later, I decided it looked silly & was costing too much!

Thanx bro now it is a 100% no stretch tyres :)

what do you think about 8J's all round? can that run safely 17"?

also if you look at the pictures carefully she is running very high on the fronts, I dont want her slammed but just enough! hence I was thinking 40mm drop all round or 40 at the front and what is you guys expert advice?

I will keep the original parts obviously as It can be easily put back to original setup.

Well I'm no expert but no I'm running 40 mm all round with no probs on my cab, it's a hell of a lot more practical than my old 60mm drop, I got 17x7.5 on mine with 5mm spacers, 8j shouldn't be a problem I don't think. Mines also a calypso cab, there's pics in photo gallery of it on alpinas but now on bbs reps. Keep meaning to post pics up but been to lazy!

Thanx for the info Brett, why dont you just post your pic's on here like the other fella above or send me a link to your page even thanx want to see the ride hight and the way its sitting on 17"s will be able to judge how mine may look if I was to adapt the same sort of setup or similar.
