While I'm in the picture posting mood I do remember someone asking or saying they wanted to fit the standard airbox, it can be done. Although I've removed mine now and fitted a Samota C/f intakeImage

Immediately underneath where it notmally sits. All the electrics reach as did the brake lines.

I am planning to fit one as well but haven't got ABS. What did you do with the intake pipes?
From looking at EPC pictures I saw some sort of snorkel going behind the bumper in the E36

Not a chance of fitting the intake pipes, there just isn't room, the inlet to the air box sits right behind the headlight, I cut a couple of the grills out of the h/light surround to give a bit more freedom to the air coming in and I also had to cut about an inch out of the rear corner of the air box to give clearance because it was catching on the inner wing and you couldn't get the box low enough. The air box is off the car now and if you want I can take some pics of the mods. I now have a Samota c/f intake fitted.

I asked about this once. Now I have already fitted mine. I spoke to the body shop who was working on my car and they relocated the stock mounting bracket so the M3 air box could be mounted. I don't have ABS so things went easy for me.

Anyway, if you have pics please go ahead and post them. I'm sure they will be useful for many people. :)

The snorkel thing is a restriction Uwe, you wouldnt want to fit it, I have an E36 airbox on mine, no interference with any bodywork but the intake is close to the headlight cover though, I just cut a bigger hole in the cover for airflow

These are the only pics I have at the moment
