Just buy any h1 kit from someone with a load of good recent feedback. Pretty much all the kits look the same and almost certainly come from the same few factories.

I wouldn't go for anything higher than 6000k which is White with a slight blue tinge. Any higher than that and you lose visible light output and will be getting pulled over all the time.

If your car is a facelift they'll work brilliantly. If it's an early car I'd change to the later projector type lights first as they have a much more controlled and focused beam which is much more suitable for hids.
cheers,

harry

Pretty much any HID kit will do provided they provide you with H1 bulbs. My F reg project car is facelift but I can't confirm when the pre-facelifts were stopped so I can't guarantee... but even if it isn't facelift, changing the light clusters over is an easy job.

Also I went for the 4300k bulbs, which still end up looking a little bit 'whiter' than normal headlights... I'd imagine 6000k will look quite different, so just consider that. If I remember right there was a thread comparing the light colours.

Have a read through this thread mate http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... 34&start=0

The ebay kits are the same as the higher priced UK sellers. You want an H1 bulb in the smiley light and 4300k light output fir optimum light or 6000k for a slight blue tint :thumb:

Try and get the 55w HID's make the normal 35w like halogen bulbs LOL
