Hi all.
Just wondering whether anyone had tried one of those waterless car cleaning/polishing products, namely Greased Lightning Showroom Shine or the cheaper JML Mantis Instant Shine. I recently saw Showroom Shine on a shopping channel and thought it looked good but the sceptic in me thinks nothing from the shopping channels actually work in real life.
What are your thoughts??

I dont like these waterless products, that was until a friend clean a merc sl with showroom shine and it did look the part, but be warned that some of these products are filler heavy so will mask the damage created by the dust that you have not rinsed off the paintwork prior to washing, i would'nt use none of that stuff personally.
Wouldn't "wash" the car with it, but they are a good detailing spray. So if you took your car to a show or whatever, wash it properly at home, then take the spray and use it to clean the car when you get there. Always use a very heavy microfibre cloth though to pick up any dust rather than rubbing it in. They are actually pretty good and quite carnuba heavy so give quite a good shine. Nothing can beat a proper wash/clay/seal/glaze/wax finish though

You say they are good at masking, would these products hide micro blisters?Doblo wrote:I dont like these waterless products, that was until a friend clean a merc sl with showroom shine and it did look the part, but be warned that some of these products are filler heavy so will mask the damage created by the dust that you have not rinsed off the paintwork prior to washing, i would'nt use none of that stuff personally.
