I bought this on Sunday (12/12/10) from a chap down in Sindon for £500... It was rather dirty to say the least and the interior still needs a bloody good scrub but took some pics today after giving it a bloody good exterior scrub :)

There's a few niggles up with it that need attention such as

- Prop noise in 1st and 2nd (spare prop ready to go on)
- Rear discs and pads need changing
- New gear gaitor needed
- Electrics problem to sort - for some reason the fuse for the clock and fag lighter keeps popping as soon as the fuse is placed in

It's Taxed until April 2011 and MOT'd until August 2011 ... All in all i think i got myself a bargain.

Opinions welcome.

Also for those in the know.... what is the button above the passenger electric window switches for?

Check out the cigarette lighter socket for debris across it's insides.

So what are the plans? Keep standard-ish? Or liven it up a bit? winkeye

Might have some alpine white 2 front doors in good nick if you need, can see one of yours has a bit of rust on the bottom edge

For five hundred nicker I think you've got yourself a very tidy looking tourer here. If you're OCD like me then getting some non-rusty doors (as Dan may sell you above) is the first thing id be doing....how much of what we are seeing here came as standard with the car and how much has been added from elsewhere do you think?

Plans for me will be to chase the rust first of all and fix the lil niggles too.

Then i shall be ordering my breyton splitters and sideskirts and a few other custom bits to make my own stamp on it.

You'll have to bish bash bosh me over a price for those doors as i could very well be tempted :D

Fuses 3, 9, 16, 18, 25, 29 and 30 shouldn't be fitted.
Fuse 6 should be 7.5A, but the 10A fuse you have is acceptable to cope with trailer brakelights.
Fuse 11 should be 7.5A. The 15A one you have fitted is a sure sign of past or intermittent fuel pump problems.
Fuse 12 should be 7.5A, not 15
Fuse 23 should be 7.5A, not 15
Fuse 22 should be 7.5A, not 15
Fuse 21 should be 7.5A, not 15
Fuses 13 and 15 should both be 7.5A. Can't quite make out what they are.
Relays K1, K6 and K8 shouldn't be fitted.
K1 is the one immediately below fuses 1, 2 and 3.
K6 is the orange one with a black dot on it.
K8 is the grey one (which doesn't look like the correct relay, even if you had front foglights.)

Hey guys.... no picture update but, ordered my strut brace and yellow light film (thanks to kedge for pointing me in the right direction for that) - just awaiting delivery atm... the strut brace is chrome but i can't stand chrome so will sand back and paint another colour.

Also got my hands on a load of Vibe gear to wang in the car like uprated door speakers and rear speakers...

Looking for coilovers now :)

Fuse? Do you mean relay?
Orange relay in top left corner is K9, and provides an ignition switched supply to the rear wash/wipe on tourings.

cheers dude :) i WANT Image Billet 88s for wheels but the £1200 price tag is a bit sickening atm lol.

as for lowering, i'm about to contact burton power for some sleeves to build my own coilies (i'll keep people updated on this) as using your own struts yadda yadda yadda you can build coilies for about £150 (note i have no idea what i'm talking about... i have someone doing it for me)

kidney's will be black... just one of mine is split so waiting to get down the shed to get my spare kidneys :)

lol liam you ass clown... no pedobear stickers are going on this... only stickers adorning the touring are the "moredoorwhores" one i designed and made myself...

anyway time for a little update... times have been hard last couple of months as got made redundent from my job and struggling to get another as i work in such a niche market (design and make/fit, graphics, signs and company livery) :( also added to the fact i am currently trying to regain my license after stupidly getting it revoked (6 points in first two years... both a lil harsh.. 3 points stopped at traffic lights, handbrake on and in neutral i picked up and glanced at my phone at 3:30am.... and 3points for on a sunday when the road was dead except for a motorbike in front he indicated to go left and waved me past and as 2 wheels crossed double white lines :( ) anyway enough sadness... on with the update :)

When i purchased my touring it had on an absolutly VILE set of rear lights (pictured below) and even to the point where they didn't match in colour due to what i can only guess is one unit is newer than the other...

Image

Anyway saw Ollie_bwoii was selling some rent tinted rears and so snapped them up...

Image

even half way through you can see it was the right decision :)

Image

so there is my quick update... next for me to do is get that tow bar off :)
