Just had the cabby resprayed, well pleased. Any ideas to preserve/improve the finish? Its been over a month so should be well hardened by now .

first things is don't use a cover for any longer than a day or two for 6 months at least. If you do, you may be in for a nasty surprise. That applies for breathable covers also.

I'm no painter, nor paint scientist but there was a fellow zoner who had his bonnet sprayed and put it under a breathable cover in the winter. When he pulled the cover off after a few months, the new paint was goosed.

My painter says not to put any covers on for at least 6 months post paint.

Interesting, thanks for replying. I´ve had a cover on it but more or less daily I air it and today I checked it and its fine. I really want to save it from birdsh,tree sap and stuff but I am in Mallorca with a better climate than UK so perhaps it cures faster, but thanks for the warning. If all goes well I´ll be in Edi tomorrow!

just out of interest what are you blokes paying for your resprays? i have a long term plan for mine just not sure if im gonna go the whole hog yet or just partial
