is dealer worth it?

im getting the last few bits for my M52 e30, im just wondering if people think its worth it getting parts such as waterpump, spigot bearing and prop coupling/bearing from the dealers. im only planning on using the car for fast road driving, maybe the odd track day if i can afford it after this 8O .

are genuine BMW parts streaks ahead of others from motor factors. im in dublin and for a metal impellar waterpump, prop coupling/bearing and spigot bearing, BMW dealers are looking for about €360. is this price worth it to have the piece of mind of having genuine parts? i dont mind shelling out extra money for piece of mind but i just wanted to see peoples opinion.

also has anyone any experience of C3BMW for parts, who generally manufacturs their parts? are they good?

Rubber couplings and bushes ect are best got from bmw in my opinion tbh, and as far as I know the spiggot bearing is a dealer part and iirc I payed around £12-15 for it.
A 2 door e30 with 8 cylinders, what could be better winkeye :D

you can get a decent water pump from ECP. KWP make it IIRC.

If there's rubber or gaskets involved, genuine BMW every time.
Same applies to any internal engine parts (eg oil pump).
ECP/GSF stuff is usually OK for everything else, providing you don't go for the dead cheap options.
This is why I no longer drive an E30......

I use GSF for a lot of things, I can't complain about quality in any way at all,

they use Elring gaskets the same as the dealers but half the price ! :)
