right i have been meaning to sort this lot out for a bit...as seems to be an E30 norm my drivers side door lock barrel has fell somewhere inside the door about six months ago, so as a quick fix i stuck the outer bit through the hole fixed with duct tape and proceeded to live very happily locking my car from the boot. :D

But now that doesn't seem to work :( which i am guessing to be electrical. :? Fuse ok but before i go tearing carpets up and removing panels anyone got any bright ideas???

To clarify the boot lock works fine but doesn't trigger the central locking, fuse fine but not sure if a relay is involved in there somewhere (only got a haines which is Sh1te winkeye )

thanks lads and ladies

Fish the locking module out of its hiding place deep in the (left hand in your case?) cill, and check for 12V + on the black/red wire. Check with a 12V lamp if possible, rather than a meter.
