just a bit ! thing is the inners need changing even if the holes are small, this car saves on labour by having less to remove :)

plans are ..

new rear inners both sides, new quarters and back panel , new inner and outer sills both sides just to be safe.. all main dealer parts ? 8O

luckily the roof is good...

Alex can you do the welding for me ? winkeye

Look on DVLA's site first if buying private plates.
A lot of these companies advertise plates held by DVLA, and then buy it themselves and add their percentage on top if you buy it from them

got to spend a few hours on it today, :D

I have been dreading pulling the M30 out, my usual way of doing the m20's is through the top with the box on, this was a bit tight in there so as Pacer suggested.. down was the only way :(

I gave Sweep a call for some inspiration/tips and off I went ...

Luckily I had access to a 2 post ramp I would hate to tackle this on the floor !

Image

it has an Alpina sump :D

Image

Alpina Mounts inc Gearbox !

Image

I unusually spent hours carefully removing the Loom and labelling everything, I don't want to mix it all up when it goes back together
Prop and Zaust off,

Image

Back to the floor, unbolt subframe mounts top mounts and rear arm bushes and lift ..Simples !

Image

trolley jack strategically placed under the cross member !

Image

Nicely balanced !

Image

thank god that bit's done, I never even broke a sweat !! :D

Steve selfish request but do you know where the wiring runs for the alpina vent guage as where the green, brown and grey wires from the main unit tap into the cars loom?

I know the grey wire is for the fade thing on the light pull. On a B6 LHD car i looked at it took its power from tapping into the brake light circut! - thats how alpina did the left hookers but it would be very interesting to see yours being a rhd car with a vent guage

The rest of the loom and where it runs i've sussed out

Hell of a project, plenty will thankyou later on for saving it.

Si, it's no prob as I am scratching my head a bit about this too !

I have half got the Digi vent out the dash is removed and the vent unplugged from the module thingy..it seems to loop into the radio loom?
once I removed the radio it no longer lit up I quickly re-fitted the radio thinking I had blown the digi vent up ! but it worked fine

I need to trace this back I think they go to the accessory socket behind the glovebox inners I will take pics of my findings tomorrow :D
