hi guys a friend has a bmw e46 325i motorsport auto. 2002 year, question is which tyres do you recommend for a everyday driver, Something that will grip well in the bad weather conditions.

At the moment the car has potanza’s
Fronts ”“ 225/40 r18
Back - 225/35 r18

Any recommendations with any new tyres mid range quality stuff for this bad winter?

Regards
Jon

I had some Kumho tyres from Black Circles that coped pretty well, I think they were the equivalent to the KU19 but I'm not entirely certain that they weren't KU31's.

falkens are sensibly priced and get decent reviews on e46's. kumhos are decent too

yoko's and toyos are worth looking at as well, but i've heard in a few places now that the toyos aren't particularity good on larger heavier cars.

moving up again, you will be looking at the top end tyres

The rears are 255/35 18 on rear MV alloys (both types) when fitted by BMW...
