Hi Guys

Thought id put some pics up. Ive finally completed all the repair work, just need to sort out some wheels now. Been looking at them Calibre Vintage which i think im going to go for. Then going to lower the front but not sure how much yet.

My black cab will be up for sale soon.

Let me know what you think:

It's getting there the front needs to be alot lower when you get your Calibre Vintage you will need wheel spacers front and back other wise they will sit in the rear arch too much.looks like the last picture your rims look like they are doing just that they need spacers. Will look stunning soon!

It's not out of line, just caught in the roof when I closed it. I'm after some deep dish wheels, but want 17".

I'm gona go the calibre vintage with stretched tyres.

I need some help lowering the front. How much to lower it by and where to get the springs and shocks. Also how much this would cost me.

If I dechrome, do I need to replace it, or can I just remove it.

Replace it, paint it, or some people just cover it in black electrical tape.
Currently slumming it in an E46 Touring

Don't go lower that 30 mm drop all round otherwise ride will be really harsh. I think you can go lower if you go to the expense of buying coilovers with adjustable stops.

I was thinking of 60mm on the front..its too high. The back seems to be low enough. Where's best to buy them, and wats the difference between coilovers and shocks & springs. Difference in price also.

I've recently put on B4 Bilsteins + Eibach springs to improve the ride after it had been on a 60/40 drop. This cost about £300, and good enough for road use. I have read threads on hear with people using coilovers, but to be honest unless you're planning on track days, then the shock and spring set up will be fine. The cost of Coilovers is of course horrendously more than £300 (you might be able to pick up second hand ones in the parts section) but I wouldn't bother. Cabbies were made for cruzing, dude!

Shocks and springs it is, where is the best place to get these from as I don't want used parts.

Hi shocks from Euro Car Parts & Cheapest deal for the Eibachs was from a uk company that searching for eibach .co.uk will divert you to. I'll try & get the correct link for you. Price will be £179. Delivered. Good service too.

Got my new wheels today. quickly tried them on the front without any spacers and they do touch the strut. I reckon i might just get away with the 7mm spacers. Just waiting to receive the spacers on Sat. Will post pics up soon. Fingers crossed these will work.
