Im looking to buy a new hood for my 325, wanted to know peoples feed back on ones they have bought themselves and if they were happy with the quality and how they found fitting them and if they had to buy anything else while doing them, ive done a few hoods on other cars but know manufactures can have slight diffrences in the way they make them making them harder to fit, it would be mohair not in to vinal,

if you could list who you bought it from how much it was an how you find thequality an fitting that would be great an i know you like pics so if within forum rules post a pic failing that if you have a thread i'll have a look at that, cheers guys an girls

There's a fella out by Uphall who fits BMW E30 hoods, was recommended to me by a garage owner. There's also Bill Ramsay coach trimming in Edinburgh, probably a bit more expensive but they come highly recommended.

Not quite sure, I haven't been in touch with him yet. I've got a another roof to fit also but I bought it used with the frame attached, all I need to do know is sew the rear window in (a job that makes you wish you had fingers of steel and the eyes of a hawk !).

Yes I'm happy with it,,,after 4 years it still looks good ..If you speak to them they are very helpful and will point you to a fitter in your area and send you a sample of the material.

Before you fit any roof check that your tension straps are up to the job as it is a good time to replace them as well...
