Well I went along to Combe the Saturday just gone. Weather was interesting but soo glad they allowed the day to go ahead. Dispite the fact the track was covered in snow and there was a few patches of black ice, every one kept up their standards and drove very well. There was only one crash and it was a caterham tapping the tyre wall at low speed.

I personaly found it very interesting and a positive learning experience for how and where the power is delivered on the car and how responsive it could be.

Here's the Castle Combe Productions video of the day:

And my fav pic:

Brave of you to be out there Rich. Some nice shots of your car in that video too! Good of them to do that. Have to say that I am glad I wasn't there with you. I haven't driven in weather like that for years and would be lost trying to work out what the white fluffy stuff was. That and the fact that I am currently dressed in shorts, T-shirt and sunnies, and thus would have not exactly fit in. I can honestly say that just watching that video made me feel cold, you're a brave man Rich!

Top stuff :thumb: and fair play to the circuit for letting it run. Did my ARDS there in the snow, complete farce, half a dozen laps at 30mph and they gave me a licence 8O Post up on here if there is anything happening February time, hopefully have my car back together by then so a run up to ShepsEvo3 at the rollers for a set up (the rolling road is at the garage/petrol station beside Combe) then a track day would be a top day out.

This is why I'll never understand people who take the heater out of their trackday car.

Respect for that! Looks pretty rough weather for sure.

I've done a few mixed weather and wet days but not in the snow. As you say, you learn so much about the car and how to adjust your driving to difficult conditions. As long as your tyres work in the conditions, I'd say it's worth the effort and surges of adrenaline to come out of the day with added confidence! It certainly makes the progressive dry ahndling seem like slow motion!
