if the cluster/instruments backlights are turned up, and the heater switch is on, yes! (from memory)

Yup, shouldn't be on as standard (at least it shouldn't in tin tops & it doesn't in my cab so I assume it's just the same!), but you can get a modified version through the zone :cool:

I think Ian's the man to speak to about it?
E30 in need of wiring loom smoke since April '11...
