Hi people, I'm currently running alpina reps on my cabby 7.5j with 205/40/17 tyres, however I'm looking at putting 17x8 wheels on but want to use my tyres, is this possible? Advice please.

You can use your tyres but it will give a slight stretched look

I might be being a massive spaz but..
20.5cm/2.54 =8.07"

Surely he won't even have a stretch? Am I missing something?!

I thought 225 was a better choice for 8" rims?

I had 225's on the my 16x8 alpinas.

If you already have the tyres and wheels fit one up and try it on the car.I have 8.5/17 brock b1s that were running 205 just didnt look safe 8O now running 215s looks much better. Also different makes of tyres will look more streached than others my 205s where continentals and cheepos the continentals looked about 2 sizes smaller
