Hi all

Can anyone help

Got a 320 I need to pick up from greenford in middx tomorrow, recover it back to kent: its got no MOT, plus the water pump has gone so driving/towing is out of the question really- plus its M25....!

Anyone got any ideas- not having much joy renting a trailer as I havent got a towing car

Could I blag the aa- say I've broken down and get it recovered to home?

TIA

Stu

if push comes to shove surely between us we can find a straight 6 and just tow it the long way. tbh I would take the pee pee on the M25 and just blag it if anything happened. Surely the fuzz will be more interested in the car being removed from the hard shoulder as quickly as poss?

if push came to shove- yep

but I'd rather get it on a low loader or proper tow... just to be safe!

If your with the AA....
cut the timing belt,
so it can't be fixed at the road side,

it's been done so many times that i know of and it works every time,
it's in there policy that if they cant fix it at the road side,
then they have a duty to get you and vehicle home safely,
or to the destination of your choice

My mates campervan spat the gearbox when he was in spain, so he rang the AA,
they got him and the camper home safely

Happy Days :)

Hmmm not too sure about that one :?

would there be a chance that somewhere in there vast fleet, that they might have a water pump that they could get to the car??

it would be best to disable the car as much as possible so there would be no chance of it being fixed at the road side :D

Also not all AA cover gets you home, I found that out to my expense. Took the £49 a year deal and when I broke down the would only take me within 10 miles and I was 70 miles from home. Had to pay an upgrade and then some extra as I was over so many miles away. Ended up costing me an extra £100.

Had this the other week and it cost me over £260. If I hadn't changed the interiour I would have just scrapped the car there and then.

Why do I not find it surprising that this sort of information is not handed out by them freely when you take out a policy.

Though seeing what the RAC spend its money on I'm glad I do not give them any money.

The RAC club Pall Mall?
Their golf club woodcote park

the opulance is amazing. Its like stepping back into the 20's. The swimming pool is only 20 paces from Pall Mall and can be seen from outside if you know where to look. Though squatting and looking weird around their may get you shot. Doesn't take much nowadays for the met to point a firearm.
