Heather blows cold when going into a corner???
Moderator: martauto
hi there, i have recently been realizing that when i try to comprise on the heater control to keep a nice cabin temperture as soon as i turn move the dial just off full heat the dash vents and footwell comes throught cold and this is also the same case when i enter a corner but when i straighten up again it blows hot again??? It loses a bit of water but none i can see where and it does smoke or come from out of the exhaust. I had trouble bleeding it when i last changed the fluid and belive it has no air locks as it does not overheat at all or when sitting at a stand still. I have got the m40 with the bleed points on the top of the rad and the 8mm bolt on the end of the thermostat housing. Cant seem to see or believe its the head as there is no other signs.
well stop drifting round corners so fast and buy her some flowersjuddye30 wrote:Re: Heather blows cold when going into a corner???

Get a f* grip,we are talking about 20+yr.old sub £10k cars here,NOT the crown jewels!
Modern cars will still go slightly cooler around a bend, my 54 plate does it so does an 09 plate car in work. I have always put it down to the slight water movement in the matrix in corners
Only in the good lord we trust.. In everything else we check!!

Check that the heater hoses are the correct way around on the bulkhead, but failing that, it sounds like a partial airlock to me. They usually clear themselves from this state though.
