Has anyone on here done, or know someone who has done, a Rover V8 into E30 conversion?
Just considering some options. Mainly, I want to know:
1) How easy is it to mate the V8 to the Getrag 5-speed, and get a clutch?
2) Would a 325i rad be enough to cool a 4-litre V8, with an electric fan setup?
Cheers!

The main problem is space..the rover engine is massive! Though on the other hand it weighs less than a ford pinto engine.
The small block fords, chevys etc are alot smaller but weight a flipping ton!

A V8 with throttle bodies looks so right, that its wrong!
The weight is the main reason I am considering one. I could drop in a 2.5i M20, but the Rover V8 would give me a tad more power for much less wight. Its also cheap to tune, and it shouldn;t be too hard to get an extra 15% out of it! Plus the V8 soundtrack...and on motorbike throttle bodies...OMG!
